THE COMPANY

ALPS THE BUS INC. (ALPS) is a family corporation. ALPS being owned by Perez family in Dagatan, Batangas is led by the father himself Mr. Arcadio L. Perez, name from which ALPS was coined. He is the current President and General Manager of the company. His children are also involved in the major operations: Mr. Felix E. Perez now the Vice President for Operations & Purchasing Manager and Mrs. Lourdes Perez-Cleofe, the youngest in the family is the Corporate Secretary and the Senior Vice President / Finance Manager. ALPS so far has gone quite a distance and still running towards the direction probably farther than our eyes can see or broader than our minds could imagine, because it is the family's vision to grow and to grow in the service of the commuting public, the ALPS adopted family.

   HISTORY

Back in 1991, ALPS Express, (a Single Proprietorship) with only one unit (a Japan Surplus acquired from Prince Motors) had its share of roads, routing Cubao to Batangas and Vise-versa. With the courage and perseverance of the whole family to make the business grow and confident that transportation service is their way of life, making it on the road, the family acquired additional three (3) units from Tritran Company in 1992 and another (4) units from the same Bus Company in 1994.

The year 1994 was an evidence of a remarkable growth of the company, its new born, the ALPS twin (the two brand new units) from the Coplumbian Motors Corporation which granted ALPS a credit line, paved the way for greater tracking and growing family of ALPS. Its life has continued running on the roads going through different directions and still servicing the commuting Batangueños.

Apparently the growth has been a tremendous outbreak for ALPS, as there seemed to be no stopping. More buses have been acquired. The company has since then increased its service as well as it routes servicing Batangas City Pier to Lawton, Batangas City to Nasugbu and vise versa. The acquisition of more buses has relatively increased the company's playing field and created more jobs to its growing staff. The ALPS has to play with the giants and the family decided to have one strategic place a lot in Diversion Road, Bolbok, Batangas which has been complimented by establishing business office and motor pool in Balagtas, Batangas City. Both places are accessible and business viable making it more easy for ALPS' passengers and staff, and giving better service to the commuting public.

Just like the growing family of Perez's, ALPS Express, the company did so, when it increased in number of units and service and when it finally decided to convert the single proprietary to a Corporate Company, in 1998. Despite the change, the solidarity the Perez family has established as no other member but their family remained the stockholders.

Again, there seemingly is no holding bar, as the company in its struggle was to add sixteen (16) more units in year 2000 and thirteen (13) more in the following year (2001). The Mindoro terminal in coordination with Super Cat Lines was also opened for service. In the same year (2001) the company rented a terminal in Cubao, Araneta Center, As well as the terminal in another town, Lemery, Batangas. This is the company's answer to the growing demands of the public.

Truly to go along with the ever changing growth of the transportation industry the company opened its RORO routes last October 2005 extending its services to the people of Oriental Mindoro and Panay Island.

Having acquired new franchise line ALPS THE BUS INC, is currently serving the following routes: Cubao to Sorsogon via EDSA, Maharlika Highway, Daet and Naga; Cubao to Roxas City via the RORO routes and Cubao to San Juan Batangas via SLEX, Lipa City, Ibaan and Rosario.

More and more terminal and booking stations were rented by to company to better serve its ever loyal passengers. This is the company's answer to the growing demands of the public.

ALPS' vision is SERVICE and the company will continue to serve as its burning commitment like the family that is committed to each membe. It is ALPS' the family the solid foundation of ALPS THE BUS INC.

   FLEET

ALPS' new bus model designed to offer comfortable and uncompromised safety.

Our Air con buses have temperature control systems that automatically adjust the temperature according to the weather. The engines have low emission, the air con uses ozone-friendly refrigerant and air cleaners that purify the air inside the bus for a healthy ride.

We wash and sweep our buses daily. In addition, our buses also undergo regular insecticide treatment and fumigation. However, our stringent cleaning programme does not only stop here; it extends also to the unseen areas such as engines, exhausts and undercarriages. This makes our buses clean for our passengers and the environment as well.

We train our bus drivers and conductors to be polite, patient, courteous and helpful to commuting public. And, we motivate them to continue being so. However, they too are only human, when they let you down, please let us know. Your feedback will help us to improve our service.
